Morning Rituals from Mia - SICKLY EATERS

Morning Rituals from Mia

11:00:00 AM

Mornings happen everyday, why not make it a beautiful one?

I have a theory (I have many theories) that morning rituals tend to say a lot about a person, maybe even more than you would find out if you asked them to describe themselves.

To say that I have a "morning ritual" is a very loose use of the term. I am by nature a very inconsistent person. It is, and forever will be, the bane of my existence. I wake up when I wake up (not necessarily when I should wake up), I eat when I'm hungry (with no restraint), and I frequently forget what I'm supposed to be doing when I'm supposed to be doing it. To be honest, I'm not quite sure how I've gotten this far in life.

Phia, by contrast, is incredibly disciplined, she wakes up when she says she's going to wake up, she's vegan- which is by definition "a strict vegetarian diet", and she does everything with a self-motivated passion that I marvel at everyday. She goes about her morning with an effortlessness that I envy and she has an inner elegance and beauty that she doesn't believe she has.

Isn't she cute/pretty?

We both have a deep appreciation for a good cup of.... well anything! Teas, coffees, hot chocolate, you name it, we probably love it. With the exception of milk of course for Phia. We're both lactose intolerant; I still drink it though because I'm in denial... and I love dairy.

We eat breakfast sometimes... well, occasionally... on a good day. When we have time/want to/remember. Yeah, I guess we need to work on that.

I like my coffee iced, black in the summer and warm, with cream in the winter (or soy if I'm feeling like a good girl).
How about you?
