College Life: ART 338 the Body- Issues and Objects

1:07:00 AM

In one of my classes, we're studying the body and its potential. We were asked to describe a location of object with vivid detail with how it relates to the senses. I'm really not sure if I did it right but description is subjective to emotion anyways so whatever.

Response: Tier 1 -Hands

Sometimes smooth as velvet, other times rough as birch bark, or waxy as snake skin. Sometimes warm as sunshine, other times cold as a leaf caught in the rain. Even with the most foreign of these, there is still a strange familiarity that comes with each one. A testament of a life, a suggestion of humanity. Each of them tells a story, lines arranged into a landscape of memories.
To hold one is to understand a piece of the narrative. whether for a second or a lifetime, each instance is a testimony. A sharing of information, acknowledgement, respect, love, remorse, solidarity, agreement.
There is no one way to describe the feeling; you feel a gentle jolt in your heart and a light ignites somewhere. There is a secret language that we learned from birth.Your body knows, as well as your mind, that at least for one second, you might not be alone after all. But once you let go, the circuit breaks, and the light fades almost as quickly as it turns on.
