This is a blog post from sometime in the winter/spring months. Very old....I just never got to posting it. It's another photo diary of sorts.
As you may have already seen from my other blog posts, Central Market is one of my favorite places to visit for plants and organic local products! I take everyone I know for a visit. This particular time was my first visit with, my friend, Will.
Central Market is one of the oldest municipally owned markets in the United States, it has so much history and local culture (and food). I've been itching to go, and now finally I have!

A rare photo without people |
The produce here looked so fresh and tasty it was hard not to buy them even though I didn't know what half of them were! |
This particular vendor reminded me so much of this painting by manet I just had to take a picture. |
They have SUCH good brittle here. |
So many spices! I so wished that I could have stuck my nose in all of those jars. |
They also sell teas here! I bought some at my last visit here. If I remember correctly, an ounce is somewhere around 1$ A good sampling price. :) |
Ahhhhhh... It took so much restraint not to buy one of every single one of these plants to bring back to college. Especially that aloe, who could say no to aloe?! |
Honey Sticks!! They're essentially like pixie stix but with honey instead of sketchy powder. I got peach and Will got lime. I think they're the best to suck on when you're just walking around. |
A Vege Café ! |
Up these stairs are the shops from my Family Day Trip blog post. :) |
